Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Let me introduce you to our wonderful students! Their favorite part of the day is when they get to listen to us read to them. They love to hear the different voices and get a thrill out of the excitement we use when reading to them. As much as they love listening to us read - they also want to become better readers themselves! These books would be placed in our library for students to use during Read to Self and Read to Someone as well as for our Accelerated Reading testing program.
This year our school is celebrating our 25th year anniversary!
What a special time it is for all of our students. We love sharing new materials with them and seeing their faces light up with anticipation!
My Project
This project will play a huge role in giving our students more opportunities to enjoy great books by awesome authors. These books will allow students greater access to literature which peaks their interests! We've got a number of different genres, subjects, and information to help students grow and expand!
As we celebrate our school's 25th anniversary, what a fabulous way for our students to grow and read together!
New reading materials offer that little spice of novelty. You should see what happens when a new book makes its way into our room! We have students lining up to use the new book and they desperately want to read it to their friends. What kid do you know who would rather read a book at recess than run around?!?
