My students need several teacher created books that have many scripts for great Reader's Workshop experiences.

My Students

Do you recall how uncomfortable you felt the first time you needed to speak before a group of people? Readers Theater experience should help these students with that issue.

My students have a strong desire to improve their lot in life.

Being able to communicate with others effectively will help them get there. This school is located in a low socio-economic area whereas 98% of the students are on free lunches, but that does not transfer into low intelligence. This is a bright group who can see a very possible bright future.

My Project

These Reader's Theater materials include Early American history values, some are clever and fun, and some of the selections are poetic. A wide range of topics will captivate each of these 5th graders. Our audience, the student body of the school, will also find these Reader's Theater selections entertaining as well as educational.

Invest in the future by helping me help these scholars!!

Being able to articulate thoughts and feelings and then receive positive feedback will be such a terrific experience for these students. Help me develop these students become well rounded citizens.
