Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My class is one of about 42 classrooms in a K-5 school. We are considered a Title I school with all students receiving free and reduced price lunch. We ensure our students have breakfast by serving it in the classroom.

We are one of the largest elementary schools with a higher poverty level than many other schools.

Many of our students have not had experiences that would provide them learning opportunities so it is our job to provide them the background knowledge needed to succeed. We are a school that wants to see our students succeed and do our best to provide a highly effective instruction.

My Project

I am asking for 2 Sphero-Bolts to hep motivate student learning through technology. These will be added to the other technology devices available the classroom. Students will use them for coding and provide the students with an engaging way to review information we have learned.

Engaging students through the use technology makes learning fun!

Having the chance to code the Sphero will provide engaging activities for my students! Many of the students do not have the opportunity to work with different types of technology at home. I want them to gain the skills needed to be prepared for college and or the work force.
