My students need 5 HP Chromebook 11 G5 Education Edition 11 6 Celeron N3060 4 GB RAM in order to help us reach our goal of becoming a one-to-one Google Chromebook Classroom.
Imagine walking into school each day with the passion to learn, only to be taught in an outdated way that isn't preparing you for the real world. My students are more connected with technology then ever. They come from various backgrounds, cultures and religions, yet they also come with a common thirst for knowledge. As educators, it is our job to prepare our students to become successful in life. We are teaching them through outdated resources. By bringing technology into the classroom, such as Chromebooks, we are moving with society, instead of taking steps backward.
My Project
As a society, we are ever-changing due to the increase in technology. As a school system, we simply are not. We are teaching students through methods that are no longer relevant in their world outside of school. My project will help bridge the gap between the reality of technology in their daily lives and the lack of technology in their school experience.
In order for our students to be successful, they need the right tools to help cultivate that success.
My project's goal is to be able to provide my students with a classroom set of thirty-two Google Chromebooks, by attaining 5 more. Through the use of our school district's individual student Google Accounts, we will use these requested HP Chromebooks to link our learning day with the digital age through the use of Google Classroom. This will provide my students with technology at their fingertips and the ability to connect with the outside world.
Through the use of research, email, messaging, virtual field trips, collaborative online projects, video, music and so much more, we will be able to help students learn in a way that will benefit them when they get out into the world.
