Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This school year has brought a group of students who are eager learners. We are facing some very difficult times, as this pandemic has hit us all quite hard. We stepped out of our comfort zones with distance learning, and now we are ALL ready to learn in-person. Some students are having much more difficulties than others, but they are all showing up and trying their best. This also leads to students practicing every habit from The Leader in Me, our whole-school transformation model and process develops and empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.
My Project
The items on our list will be used as such: the rolling cart will hold their portable mini desks and will allow for them to roll it around the classroom, the pencil dispenser will allow for easy access to pencils as needed, the Hepa Replacement Filters will allow for cleaner air, the magnetic strips will allow for added practice of place value using the white board, and the rolling storage will allow for our classroom supplies to have a home. All items will also allow for us to have more space in class, as other storage is falling apart and bulky.
