My students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds. We serve about 650 students in grades K-6, and we are a Title I school. Our school is nestled within a beautiful neighborhood. Looking at the homes surrounding the school, you would never know that about 55% of our students live in poverty, and poverty impacts the brain and learning.
Yet, in spite of the level of poverty, my students are excited, compassionate, and they demonstrate growing leadership abilities each day.
This is a great place to grow!
My Project
Do you have an office chair? What does it look like? I can guess what it's not. It's NOT a one-size-fits-all, hard plastic chair that makes ear defining noises as it slides across the floor!
Students need task chairs that can easily be moved and adjusted to accommodate who they are and how they collaborate!
This year it's is all about real world collaboration. Because collaboration, sharing, and brainstorming happens everywhere, students need practical, professional, and collaborative classroom seating. Rolling task chairs allow students to easily create collaborative groups. Additionally, they enable students to adjust the height in order to be comfortable while working alone or in groups.
