Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is called PALS which stands for Preschool for All Learners. My class contains a unique group of early childhood special education learners. Our class is diverse in many areas, abilities, nationalities, and socioeconomic status.
For most of them, this is their very first time in school and they deserve the best first experience ever!
Curious, motivated, and creative, my students are eager to engage in the world around them and explore a variety of tools and engaging activities.
My Project
Help give our students an incredible experience with all kinds of rocks! I have included colorful rocks and pattern cards to make pictures like butterflies and turtles. There are also rocks with interesting shapes our students can build with their hands. We also want to start a beautiful positive rock garden and I have included river rocks and paint pens.

I had started a happy rock project during the school closures, where I painted rocks with my kids and we left them around the neighborhood. It made our neighbors so happy! I would love to bring the happy to our school, painting and creating a positive rock garden with the whole school!
