My Project

My students have to read articles about how to identify types of rocks and minerals in our geology unit with Amplify Science. Unfortunately, the students do not get the opportunity to experience a hands-on lab within this unit. Much of the inquiry-based learning is experienced through the use of simulations using their Chromebook. I would like to supplement my students learning experience by physically testing various rocks and minerals. This will enable my students to use more of their senses to learn about this topic. Students will also use their cooperative learning skills in a small group setting to identify these rocks and minerals.
