My Students

I am blessed to teach the most amazing group of third graders. They amaze me daily with their love of questioning, math, researching, learning, experimenting, reading, leading, and education. My class is a very diverse group of learners that have a large variety of learning styles.

When a child has choices presented to them, their ability to truly feel successful is greatly enhanced.

From flexible seating options, student driven research projects, limitless leadership opportunities- I strongly believe in giving students choices in their learning and the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning to make them successful.

My Project

I absolutely love to try new and innovative ways to reach and teach all of my students. My 60+ students have multiple learning styles and I am driven to reach every student individually with what speaks to them. Having spent the last year with this goal in mind, I have set about to make every single lesson as engaging and memorable as possible.

Rekenreks provide learners with the visual models they need to discover number relationships and develop a variety of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts.

Students building their number sense is imperative in third grade. Rekenreks will allow students to model and understand these mathematical concepts.
