Our rural school consisting of over 50% free and reduced students is continually looking for ways to engage the students in creative and relevant activities. Students who attend our school come from many different backgrounds. We are a Leader In Me School and looking for ways to better the culture of the school and provide a meaningful education to all students. I would like to add to our podcasting area with the equipment I am asking for. We have a Friday Morning Club where students do a radio show and share stories of our school with the whole student body. I would like to enhance the program we are already doing by adding more equipment. All students and faculty would benefit from this upgrade that attend Wood River Rural Schools.
My Project
I would like to add to our recording area so that my students in my Media Class and Innovative Design class would have access to all of the materials they need for creating media. Whether it be audio or video, the students will be able to create amazing productions.
By using the green screen and accessories, my students will be able to create content that many other high school students never get the chance to do.
In my classes we are working on advertising and creating media for our school's social media. Having the green screens set up in an area will allow us to have a small studio set up.
Students in my classes are exposed to several creation apps, but most of all they are using Adobe Photoshops Creative Cloud. This program allows students to gain valuable experience within the program that businesses around the world use. Having the recording studio will allow us to offer an experience of a lifetime.
