My Students

Our school services students from eighteen to twenty-six year old adults. My students are learning at several different performance levels within a self-contained work skills transition program. The program allows the students to work on their individual education goals and objectives, and job skills to obtain gainful employment .

I always live by, and teach by the Growth Mindset teachings with my students, and tell them that they "don't know yet." My students deserve the best kindness learning environment possible. When I can share the giving spirit with my students, it will be a better world!

My Project

Some of our students struggle with reading, and some are non-readers. These pens can scan over the printed word, and digitally read it back to the person. They also come with earphones to help focus on the reading, while not distracting other students.

When students can control the reading, and be independent while operating the scanning pen, they will feel empowered with their learning!

Teacher's biggest dream for their students, is to teach them to become as independent as possible. These reading pens are such an awesome invention for struggling readers. The c-pen exam pens are certified for the accommodation of, reading the material to the students. Now, they will have the control of speed, and they won't need to wait for a staff member to read everything to them.
