My Students

I have an amazing class of students. We spent 2nd grade together and are loving getting to grow together even more in 3rd grade. My students are artistic, creative, love to read, and love to learn and teach themselves new things.

We are a class of learners.

My class loves to spend time reading and learning everyday. They have a wide range of abilities and talents that makes coming to school everyday fun.

At our school, about 40% of our students receive free and reduced lunch. We have families who currently benefit from the Backpack Buddy program which provides students extra food for weekend meals at home.

My Project

Students will be able to move in their seats while working in small groups or other places around the classroom. Having seats that rock will allow for movement and help students fidget without distracting others. Allowing for movement can also helps students who may have anxiety with certain parts if the day or stressful situations, like state testing. These seats allow them a safe way to relieve some of that anxiety and stay calm and in control of their emotions. They also take up less space so students can easily move around the classroom without worrying about running into bulky chairs.
