Our students are the leaders of today learning the "how" of making a difference. They are creative, innovative, determined, passionate and caring. They want to make a difference in their school and community. We are a K-8 school that believes in student leadership and supporting community service.
Our students are determined and innovative learners who wish to have a recycling program in our building.
Our students are hard working and willing to do their part to make a difference. As a school we support our students desires, especially when it comes to being aware of their community and making a difference.
My Project
Our students will use the requested blue bins to sort recycling items in the classroom from trash items. They will then place the recycling in appropriate collection areas so that our community has less waste. It is their goal to help keep the community as "green" as possible. They bins will allow students to make a small and simple difference in their community daily. They will learn responsibility and care for their environment.
This project will help students be more aware of materials they use through monitoring quantity of waste versus recyclable materials.
They will also be able to do their part in helping keep their community. They will feel better about being able to do their part to make a difference.
