My students need reading comprehension practice journals to strengthen their reading skills.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
Day in and day out, my third graders come into our classroom ready to learn! They are driven and determined to be successful with everything they set their mind to. My students are diverse and each and everyone of them is a unique, amazing individual. They come from many different backgrounds, have different interests, and they all learn at different academic levels. Despite their differences, they all have one thing in common which is that they all share the love of learning.
The daily reading comprehension notebooks that I am requesting will greatly benefit my students in many ways. Not only will these practice books help my students strengthen their reading comprehension skills, the books will also help my students prepare for the end of third grade state assessment. The daily comprehension books break the passages down and have a set of daily questions that students answer to better understand what they are reading. Students will be able to take them home to work on them and return them the next day so we can go over them as a class. I try to find ways to help my students strive in reading by using a variety of resources.
Interactive reading journals are essential to reading instruction.
The reading journals will help students during instruction time. The journals will be a great resources for students to look back for guidance as they continue to grow throughout the year.
