Rebound’s students have dealt with life far different than their peers.
Trauma, abuse, neglect, fear is just a few of the reasons students find their way into our school. For every student we have, there is a story of a journey and perseverance to finish high school, despite circumstances each one encountered along the way. Our student population is amongst the highest in our district for homelessness and poverty, and we are the smallest 9-12 alternative high school. Since the pandemic, students have had to firmly plant their feet on the ground and dig deeper to succeed without the security and safety found within our building. We see our students thriving more this year, despite the challenges, with an overwhelming amount of grit and determination to beat the odds stacked up against them. Our staff has been working extremely hard to develop relationships virtually with students and bridge the two-way communication gap between student and staff. Students and staff need access to assisted technology that will help ease the path to academic achievement.
My Project
Rocketbooks will be used every day by students to help further academic achievement during this challenging time in education! Rocketbooks will provide innovative tools students use to develop organizational skills, plan out daily & weekly schedules, create short & long term goals, track personal milestones, take notes, upload everything within their Rocketbook to a preferred destination, and readily share information with teachers! No more paper notebooks will be needed! No more losing paper notes before a test. Rocketbooks will enhance the motivation and excitement for our students in the most meaningful way!
Most importantly, students will use their own unique, creativity to achieve academic success with Rocketbooks!
