Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am the luckiest teacher in the world to share a room with 28 of the most resilient and ambitious 4th graders. They are constantly overcoming different obstacles in their lives. 99% of our school's population receives free and reduced-priced lunch and there are many different languages spoken throughout our hallways.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I will not and they will NOT let this limit their tenacity and big dreams.
My Project
The Rocketbook will change how my students take notes and share information. The reusable pen and paper notebook has seven different page templates that connect to cloud services. 42 futuristic pages are packed with calendars, to-do lists, and note taking layouts. The synthetic paper allows you to write smoothly then magically wipe clean with a damp cloth to reuse again and again! The Rocketbook app will allow my students to blast notes, plans, lists, and big ideas to the cloud for proper organization. Then, erase and reuse for their next assignment!
This will allow my students to become tech-savvy, prepare for college and their future careers, as well as save paper and waste.
