My class is full of students who are excited to be at school each day to see what we will learn. Our favorite time is pulling out a keyboard and singing songs together that help us to learn our letter sounds, math facts, and about the world around us.
All of the students in our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
The diversity that exists in our school comes from the reservation which borders our district and the Hispanic population that helps our farming community.
My Project
Rock the Halls is a fun way to celebrate reading in our school. Students earn points by reading books and taking short comprehension quizzes. When point goals are reached, students get to participate in a parade through the school, lead by the principal. This is a huge deal for our students and I want to further the celebration by allowing my students to create fun T-Shirts to Rock the Halls in.
Dr. Seuss said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” I want to help encourage my students to read so they can go far.
By using vinyl iron on to create fun t-shirts, students will be more motivated to read.
