Help me give my students lots of copy paper to complete activities in their interactive notebooks along with glue sticks. These notebooks are used to reinforce skills taught in reading and writing.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students from Georgia are part of a pilot French-Immersion program that allows them an opportunity to be able to learn a dual language. This program gives children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. My class is very energetic and they enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside of the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration. We take the limits off of learning as we strive for success.
My Project
This glue and paper will be used to enhance student learning as they incorporate lessons taught through the use of interactive notebooks in all content areas. Students will be able to utilize these notebooks as study guides and as a resource to reflect on as needed.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful writing.
By implementing the Writer's Workshop model, my students will begin to see themselves as true authors and illustrators. We will use these glue sticks and paper to aid us in the process of becoming life-long writers. As the teacher, I have done extensive research and reading on Writer's Workshop in the primary grades. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
