A school family of over 150 preschoolers joins our school each year! We are a preschool leveled building that is unique in our district. Students are from all backgrounds and range from infants to age 6. Some of our students are special education students who are being educated alongside their peer mentors. Many of our special education students have unique needs due to their health or abilities. We are supported by special education team members such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech and language therapists. We strive to do our best to have many learning opportunities, with variety, for our students and families!
My Project
Read, Plan, Create, and Enjoy! It's a Swim Through life. Read Across America this year will be celebrated by students all across our country! This year, our preschoolers will enjoy this celebration through 1:1 reading of "Only One You," by Linda Kranz. Ms. Kranz indicates that there is only one of you in this great big world, and each of you is special. In this book, the main character's mama and papa share some of the wisdom they have gained through the years with their son. Their words help him as he learns to read, plan, create, and explore his world. Kranz's uniquely painted rockfish will be recreated by our students with rocks, paints, and some amazing volunteers. Please help us gather the materials needed to inspire our children as they swim through life.
