This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is home to some of the most amazingly hard working and dedicated students and staff. Our students come to us with a variety of diverse backgrounds, interests, and abilities. In the classroom, students and teachers work hard to meet common core standards and meet the high expectations set for them.

Our students face many adversities such as poverty, homelessness, and community violence.

They come to school to not just learn to read and write, but to spend their days in a safe and supportive environment.

Our students should feel loved, cared for, and safe. We should all surround ourselves with peace of mind and friendship.

My Project

Our school has recently become an engineering and technology academy. We have all the ambition and drive to implement 21st century learning into our classrooms, but we are lacking the resources. Our students come from homes, where science and technology are hard to come by. We'd love to put the magic or robots in their hands!

We would love the Sphero Mini Robot as a way to take our coding lessons to a new level.

The Sphero Mini allows the students to enter code into the free app and watch their robots follow the code. Students will be able to have a hand-on application for the programming skills we have been learning.
