My students need a way to bring robotics into our math class. Students love robots and with the help of these Sphero Ollies, students will love robots in the math class!
The students in my math class are smart, bright and love to integrate technology into our math class. We are a pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade school of approximately 475 students. Our school is very close to being considered Title I, but because we are not officially, we do not receive additional funding above our regular budget. We have about 63% of our students receiving free or reduced rate lunch. Our teachers work hard to create an atmosphere that is encouraging and inspiring. Our students love our school and are eagerly ready for new technology tools to implement into our class. Of the 55 elementary campuses in our school district, my class consistently ranks in the Top 3 academically. I attribute my success to the ability of creating innovative lessons that stimulate the student's mind through technology.
My Project
Students will love coding these little robots to complete various tasks within the math curriculum! The Ollie robots are easy to code and will provide students with a real robot experience. Students will use robots with coordinate grids, geometry, project based learning and much more! The students will be engaged in relevant, learning experiences and will love bringing robots into the math classroom!
My students are begging for more technology in our classroom.
