Help me give my students DASH robots and xylophones to help them perform their own original music compositions by combining their creative composing skills in music with their coding skills in technology and STEM.

My Students

We have about 515 students who come from various backgrounds. While some students take private music lessons, most of our students' only exposure to music is in my classroom where they are exposed to a variety of different instruments as they strive towards musical literacy. Students work independently and collaboratively in small groups to compose and create music enhancing their ability to read and play music on different instruments. Music in my classroom is always a hands-on learning experience!

My Project

The Dash Robots and xylophones will help my students integrate coding and technology with their ability to read and write their own original music. As a music teacher, I strive to help all students learn to read and play music using a variety of different instruments. Students use their knowledge of reading notes and work independently and collaboratively in groups to create their own musical compositions. Having these additional resources will allow our students to take the next steps towards combining music and technology to enhance their learning. I am excited to provide my students with this 21st-century learning opportunity.
