Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! They are always excited about learning. I always tell them that education and learning is their business; their job. They always tell me "Let's get to business!" They are each unique and their individuality is evident from the minute you meet them. All of them love to share all of the wonderful things that are happening in our classroom; I enjoy being a part of those wonderful things! I strive to make their day in our classroom a positive and productive experience.
Our class is composed of 22 delightful and enchanting students; each one excited to explore the world of literature, mathematics, and social sciences.
From the first week of school, I was already in love with these kids and their individual and unique personalities. We are looking forward to an exceptional school year.
My Project
Having these tools I have requested will enable low-income students the ability to access the move through the classroom with ease. The Apple iPads will enable my class to easily research for information at their fingertips for our project-based assignments. They will be able to use the dry erase paddles for displaying their answers. The Post-it easel pads will allow them to show their work during differentiated instruction. The storage box will help us easily store our anchor charts. These tools and storage give customized instruction and assist my students by providing the supplies they need.
So many of my students were adversely affected by Hurricane Irma and still have close to no access to school supplies in their homes.
Most of these students free or reduced lunch. Having these additional supplies and tools will allow them to experience the and attain group time, paper, and technology. In addition, the students will work at their level by means of our reading and math technology programs.
My students' journey into reading, math, and social science will be further strengthened with the appropriate and current technology.
