My Project

Our team is continuing to develop and get more skilled at working with metal, but we often end up at competitions where a part is broken or needs to be manufactured. Our shop at school has a very nice metal cutting band saw, but we cannot take it on trips or use it on pesky robot parts that are built and need to be trimmed down.

This portable metal cutting bandsaw will help our team make excellent cuts and give us the ability to manufacture parts on the road.

We were blessed to have a team help us out at state competition last year and they utilized a saw like this to make quick, clean, and safe cuts through metal. I hope this project allows us to return the favor and help other teams in need. We are really looking forward to having a chance to ditch our angle grinder and hacksaw for this awesome piece of equipment!
