Robotics: Ready, Set, Compete!

My Students

Students have been in distance learning since the school year started in September. During our second trimester, 7th and 8th grade students will have the opportunity to come on site twice each week for our robotics program to learn through competition in a safe environment.

I teach at a Title I school in southern Oregon where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

We have quite a diverse population of students at our school. Many of them may not feel safe at home, so we want them to feel that way in our class by giving them unique opportunities for some hands-on learning and help them be successful.

My Project

The TV and rolling cart will allow us mobility to move around the classroom to help prep students for local, state, and possibly national robotics competitions.

Many of the students in this class are also a part of our schools SkillsUSA chapter and this mobile TV will give them a chance to practice for the state Urban Search and Rescue robotics competition.

The mobile TV is also needed to help display times and scores for our VEX Mobile Robotics competition. Giving students the opportunity to learn and grow through competition not only this year, but for years to come as well.
