This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Engineering & Computer Technology and General Computer Applications to middle school students. My students are diverse and complicated. Like all humans, they like different things, have unique dreams, desires, and preferences. They come from different backgrounds, many from other countries. Some come from unfortunate circumstances. Some are luckier. Despite their differences, they are united in their love for their school.

My students will follow their interests to the ends of the Earth.

They put in the time and energy and so much more to achieve their goals. Their desire to accomplish their goals is only equaled in their desire to see their fellow student achieve theirs.

My Project

I would like to attend the Infosys Foundation USA Summer Institute 2020 course Introducing Python with Robotics in Bloomington Indiana. I would love the opportunity to make connections with like-minded educators and learn ways to progress my own understanding of coding and robotics.

My goal is to provide my students with the most interesting, rewarding, and inspiring opportunities in STEM.

Access to the Pathfinders Summer Institute allows me to be on the cutting edge of technology and provides me a means to pass this knowledge on to my students. I feel that I am training the astronauts, engineers, artists, and scientists of tomorrow and this professional development will help me prepare them for their future.
