Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Technology is a vital part of our lives today. Technology in the classroom plays an important role in my instruction and students' learning. Creating a learning environment that offers a wide variety of technology will ensure my students are set up for success in their educational journey.
I teach in a low socioeconomic area; however, my students come to school every day excited and ready to learn.
My goal is to prepare lessons that incorporate technology across the entire curriculum. We have low-income families in our district, and this would be the only opportunity for some of my students to use technology. It is very important for all students to gain skills using technology for their futures. I am looking forward to having an outstanding group of students this year, and I hope to feed their hunger for knowledge and aid their learning by giving them a variety of ways to use technology in my classroom.
My Project
Do you know what Dash is? It is amazing! Dash is a real robot that allows for an exceptional learning experience. There are free apps to program Dash to respond to voice and sounds, dance and sing, and move throughout the space you create. With the xylophone, students will be able to showcase how they can code Dash to play!
Dash will be an amazing addition to our classroom.
With Dash my students will be able to learn more about robotics and coding. We will use Dash during class and I know students will want to learn and explore more about robotics and coding.
