My Students

The after school robotics program is for students in grades 3-5, and there is so much interest in it! The students are so eager and excited to build, discover, code, program, and run their robots. They love attempting challenges and collaborating to problem solve! Last year was our 1st year with a robotics program at our school and there was sucha high interest, with 35 students consistently showing up! They shared materials well and were so patient, but would love the opportunity to enhance their learning by getting their hands on the materials more.

My Project

There was such a high interest in the Robotics program that was launched last year at my school, that students didnt gain the access they deserved with the robots. More kits are needed to ensure that groupings are smaller and students can build, problem solve, and work through challenges. The students were itching to wait for their turn to program the brick and add on their ideas, and they were sometimes only able to do this twice during a 2 hour meeting due to the sheer number of students! I don't want to turn anyone away from this awesome program, therefore more materials are necessary to make this happen for my large group of Intermediate age students!
