Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At ACA, we are launching an integrated studies program for STEM next year. This will include classes in basic technology and business, computer science, robotics and coding to name a few subjects.
A component of the STEM program, robotics, will require kit equipment get the program started.
The funds we are using for the project will allow us to kick start the robotics class! I would like to order some starter kits for students to learn the basic components of robotics.

My Project
Students will be using the robot kits to create small model robots. Students will see their own ideas come to life and make something tangible for a project that addresses a problem present in some of the communities they inhabit.
This project would significantly help my students' understanding of the constructing model robots.They would see the process connect to a final product, relevant to themselves and impacting the world for better.
Students can practice using design technology and experience careers related to it: architecture, graphic design, modeling, and public policy. In the end, they will be problem-solvers, empowered to take the skills and knowledge in their class to improve their lives and those of people around them.
