My Students

My students are a special group of kids that have put many hours into making and programming robots with the few resources they have. We have had a FTC team for 3 years now. We were one spot away from qualifying for state this year. Our school is in a small rural area that is a tight knit community. The group consists of 9th through 12th grade boys and girls that have various backgrounds and experiences to bring to the team.

My Project

The goBILDA kit will allow the students to have more flexibility in the robot design in order to excel to the next level as a FTC team. They have experienced some success and have come really close to breaking through to the top teams in the state. This will help them make that leap to the top. The existing kit that they have has been utilized to its utmost potential and they are ready to move up. This robot will continue to be used after the season as an outreach tool to the community at boy scout meetings, 4H meetings, and elementary and middle school STEM nights.
