Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher from a middle class Urban school district in Northeastern PA., 75% of our students come from disadvantaged or single parent families. Many students lack real world experiences that many professionals take for granted. All students in my district receive free breakfast and lunch.

Most of my students have had little to no STEM experience.

Allowing students to be more creative and use their imagination will help to jumpstart their interest in many science fields. Let’s get started!

My Project

These items will allow my students to gain experience in coding, Math, and Technology. Right now we don’t have any robots to use in our classroom. I want the students in my classes to learn basic coding skills, as well as Math skills like measurement, area, and perimeter. These robots will allow them to do just that, plus a whole lot more. In a district where every child receives free breakfast and lunch, we don’t have access to a lot of technology that allows hands on, as well as needed skills. Your donation will help many students for years to come!
