Help me give my students new innovating technology that allows me to teach them while being able to move freely around the classroom interacting with everyone.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and many come from foster homes. They all bring diverse experiences into my room each day. Most of the students struggle with social interactions, and their academics. As a teacher, I hope to make sure that each of them feel welcomed into my classroom.
Giving students a reason to achieve and follow their path to graduation and a successful future is my main goal.
On any given day my students bring love, happiness and many rewarding experiences. They come with motivation to learn each day and to try and improve their future. The all have days that they struggle but I try to be the rock that helps them improve. With your help I can continue to improve their academia along with their motivation in the school.
My Project
As classroom teachers, we need all the help we can get, amen? Wouldn’t an assistant be nice? Someone to remind you of things, tell you the weather before you run outside for recess, set the timer for you even when you are on the other side of the classroom? Well, there’s something for that, friends. I am hoping for my own classroom assistant–an Amazon Echo!!
More and more people have this device at home, but there are many fun and engaging ways to use Alexa in the classroom!
I can check the weather, set timers and reminders, read outloud, hear a story, play music, play games, and to help randomize students.
