Help me give my students the SSYRA JR books for the 2021-2022 school year! My students LOVE to read and love challenging themselves to read harder books. They always enjoy the SSYRA JR books.
I am a Kindergarten teacher at a small, low-income neighborhood school. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and have various home-life situations. Once they enter the doors of my classroom, I try to create an environment where they can forget the things going on at home and focus on learning in a positive, nurturing classroom. My students love learning in new ways! I hope to enrich their lives with unique experiences and have them fall in love with learning!
My Project
The students in my class need higher level texts to read and continue to help them grow as readers! These books are apart of the 2021-2022 SSYRA Jr. book list. They will help enhance my little readers vocabulary, sight word recognition, fluency, and LOVE for literature. These books will be placed in my classroom library, where all students will have access to enjoy them and choose which ones they are most interested in. These books are a variety of different levels, so my littles will have lots of room to grow and read different books on different levels throughout the year! They will help my students become leaders through reading!
