My Students

I am the instructional support specialist, here at WES. A few years ago, I taught fourth grade. This school is so special that I had to come back again! Our students are a special group of children. Many of them are first generation immigrants or are from non-English speaking homes. We have students who come from highly impoverished homes which makes garnering resources very difficult.

They desperately want to learn and try new things.

As the instructional support specialist, it is my job to make sure that our students have the resources and information they need to succeed in an ever-changing world!

This year I have the pleasure of coaching our newly found drama club! We are going to produce our first two part play and my kiddos could not be more excited!

My Project

As stated, I am also the drama coach this year for my school. This will be the first time in the history of my school that these students have an opportunity to put on a production and showcase their acting chops. As many know, voice is very important onstage. If the audience cannot hear you then the play will be a flop.

I am asking for help with buying these body mics to help amplify the actors' voices and allow them to be heard.

They are working so hard on their character choices, acting and I would hate for all of their hard work to be in vain because no one could hear them.

For students who have not had the chance to shine, this will be a paramount moment for them.
