My 8th grade math students need a new learning environment to help engage them and stay focused. I have a variety of learners in my classroom. I want them to want to come to class. As you know, most kids don't get super excited about 8th grade math.
Your donations will help my students get out of their typical setting of a classroom and allow them to enjoy math.
We have plenty of technology at their fingertips, but I want to get them more engaged to help them be better problem solvers.
My Project
These different activities are going to help my students understand equations and slope better. When students finish the activity that they are doing, they will be able to grab String Designs for Four-Quadrant Squares and play it with their neighbor. There will be times after teaching a lesson I think that the student understood it and they did not. The slope flash cards will help students quiz each other in different ways such as after they are finished with the daily lesson or student can use them ti quiz each other one on one. Linear Graphing cards can also be useful in power or tier classes that we have. These classes are made smaller to help students get more one on one help. The organizer will help me keep everything together and the students will be able to locate them as well.
