We must rebuild and restore hope within our town, school, class and children. Technology only exists at the teacher's desk in the kinder classroom. They love to learn and love to play computer games. Having the Arch child pad will be in the hands of our kids for 2013-2014 year.
Our students come from a small farming town in Texas.
A recent tragedy has displaced our students, for schools are being demolished. Funds are routinely small as we rely on local businesses. The largest employer is the school district. Academic experiences vary for our five year olds coming from smaller pre-kindergartens, childcare centers and homes. I believe parents seek our schools and teachers because we nurture and educate! There are multiple learning abilities adding a challenge to teachers by adapting to individual needs. That is our job and the kids reach high expectations. Having "tech tools" such as the Archos child pad in the classroom will be a privilege to our kids and will be appreciative. Our little ones deserve to create, learn and apply now.
My Project
My request for four Archos child pads will enable kids to be facilitators of their own learning. They will be able to cooperate with others with numerous apps for all subjects including math, reading, writing, science and social studies. Adaptations are easily made for learning styles and learning levels. Examples are reading fluency of pictures, letters, words, phrases and stories. Kid pictures and recordings add colorful inspirations. The Archos Child pad will move math in a new direction with new manipulatives. We move fast, for these kids are like sponges. Working technology just for their hands will add excitement all day everyday.
Kinders profit from movement and creativity into their long term memory.
Our kindergarten having four Archos child pads can help provide the foundation of technology. Our request is necessary to maintain state standards and to make learning fun. These Archos child pads are a step for our little ones to rise up and to keep up with the challenges of their future.
