I get to share my classroom with an enthusiastic group of little first graders! These little dolls are absolutely filled with life and ready to learn. I have students who walk in the door skipping and ready to conquer all tasks that lay ahead and students who need extra love and encouragement to start the day.
All of these little souls are filled with inquiry, excitement, and a love of learning that inspires us all.
My Project
Do you ever struggle going to the office when you know the work will be overwhelming? Rise and Shine with STEM is a way to integrate a "soft start" for my current students, as well as students for years to come. Students will be greeted at the door, complete a simple list of to-do's, and then will be able to ease into their day by selecting a STEM project. The STEM projects I am requesting range in ability, creativity, and tools. There is something for everyone!
Kids will see the STEM kits and be excited to walk through the door!
These STEM kits will be housed in a shelving system near the front of the classroom and easily accessible. The children will be able to utilize each kit and also spend more time with their favorites. This will be a terrific opportunity for children to explore STEM activities and develop their passion for STEM.
