Everyday my second grade students are busy learning through hands-on activities while working in cooperative groups. My students learn from experience to help them connect to the real world with the skills they are learning. By the end of the year, my students will be sailing into third grade!
My students are very bright and eager to learn bunch of 7 & 8 year olds.
They are very curious and love to come to school. There are a variety of cultural backgrounds in my classroom. Our school is a title one school with about 700 students from grades pre-k to fifth grade.
My Project
We just recently got a smartboard in our classroom. My students are very eager to use it but we are very limited on the games and activities we have to do on our smartboard. With your donation, you will help us to better use our smartboard and help my eager learners to use a new technological advance in our classroom. The software that we will receive with your donation will have a variety of math, reading, and language arts games and activities that teach. The math software has place value, telling time, counting money, adding and subtracting, and much, much more. The reading software has informational text and fictional text activities. The language arts software has parts of speech, types of sentences, grammar, capitalization, and much, much more. The interactive software is perfect for engaging my students into the topics we are learning.
Technology is such a big thing and for a lot of my kids there is no technology at home.
By having technology in the classroom, my students are able to explore using it and are more engaged in their lessons.
