I teach at a Title I school in the heart of the San Fernando Valley in California. Many of my students come from low income families that struggle financially. For many of my students, our classroom is the first time they are away from their parents and their first school experience.
My students are sweet, creative and caring and truly amazing.
They are eager learners who love to ask questions, and discover and explore their world. They come to school each day ready to learn and grow. They are active and energetic kindergartners that make my job fun and exciting with new adventures every day. They always put a smile on my face and make me proud to be their teacher!
My Project
Providing children with the tools to make outdoor play fun and engaging will not only develop gross motor skills, but it will help with focus and concentration in the classroom. Being physically active makes the students energetic and strong which motivates them to take interest in classroom activities. It will ensure that students are growing up healthier and happier with less anxiety.
Giving my students the equipment to play and develop physically, will in turn help them grow academically.
School life is hectic for every student, especially the little learners. Therefore, taking part in physical activities and education allows students to relieve their academic anxiety and stress. It will allow for healthy bodies and minds!
