My Students

Our students live in an extremely rural part of Oklahoma, where it is hard to experience life outside our small town. My student always look forward to the new and exciting projects that I write for materials to bring fun and innovative ways to learning.

I teach at a Title I school in Oklahoma; our student enrollment receives 100 percent free breakfast and lunch.

We offer students the snack pack program on the weekends. Our students are always excited to learn despite their background and home life. Making our school an exciting and fun place to learn helps our student escape in to their learning.

My Project

Our students do not have a safe place to learn to ride their tricycles or bicycles. We are offering them to opportunity to learn how to ride a tricycle or bicycle in a safe, controlled environment on our enclosed court on the school playground. Many the students do not own tricycles or bicycles, and it is our goal to offer them the experience of learning to develop the skill necessary to ride a bicycle starting with tricycles.

Our students are looking forward to "Riding Like the Wind," around the courts and learning all the safety rules of riding bicycles in our community.
