Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My second grade students are ready and eager to learn! Given the right tools, I am confident that they can accomplish any goal set before them.
These students come from a variety of social, economic, and cultural backgrounds but all share a common love of technology and learning. They are excited for a new year in a new classroom with new tools to help them be successful. They beam with excitement when a new skill is mastered and they are able to share their accomplishments with family and friends.
My Project
Help me to provide my students with and extensive collection of books to build their vocabulary and reading skills. These books will be used to teach our state standards in reading and literacy. Student exposure to multiple genres and types of reading materials are vital to their reading success. This extensive collection will provide them with the enrichment that they need to learn new words and give them the opportunity to have adventures through the stories. Many of my students do not have access to book outside of the school. Please help me to give them this literacy library that they will surely treasure.
