Kindergarten and first grade is such an important time for learners. Students are beginning to develop the ability to work independently. Learners at this age have a special curiosity that is the heart of our classroom.
My learners come to school from a wide variety of home environments with one thing in common: they want to learn!
It is my job as their teacher to provide the best environment and materials to help them succeed in their quest to learn. We work collaboratively and use hands-on materials as much as possible.
Learning to code is a 21st Century Skill. Having a Dot and Dash in our classroom will give my students access to the technology they needs to learn how to code and problem solve. My learners already have access to iPads, now they need more hands-on tools to get them learning through play. We can also use these robots to help us with learning to retell a story!
Your donation to this project will provide my learners with tools to provide the ability to collaboratively create codes while problem solving.
These robots will be used during center times, and we will employ the help of older students in our school to work with, and be role models for, these young learners.
