Ms. Lofton from Atlanta GA is requesting professional development through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
I need help funding the remaining 30% of this trip to learn innovative ways to teach my students computer science and coding.

I love teaching kindergarten. I love being their first experience in school. They are excited about learning new things and have new experiences. My architects come to me with mixed interests, abilities, and goals. They are learning their SEL goals and their main goal they are working on is collaboration and empathy.
In our classroom, we build a family so they always feel safe and loved.
My passion drives me to always learn new ways to teach to keep my students engaged. They love experiences, visualization, and tangible learning. It is my goal to get my students on grade level and beyond. My architects are ready for the challenge of getting their skills on kindergarten level. When they master the skills, they will have the foundation to continue to grow.
I am requesting funds to attend a conference about computer science and coding. My students are in the era where computer science and coding is important and I want to provide them the tools they need to be successful with computer science. I am not equipped to give my students what they need but by attending this conference, I'll be able to help my students begin to understand coding.
This conference will provide me with invaluable information to focus on art and computer science.
My students will benefit from this because I will be provided with a STEAM project that I can have my architects do themselves as computer scientists. Thank you for considering supporting my project.
