Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is a 4th grade Bilingual classroom located in a Title I school in Richmond, California. My students work so hard to learn English and are already showing so much growth, I'm so proud of them! They work so hard and I truly admire them for this. My hope is to motivate my students to try their best and be their number one supporter! This is an amazing group of students and I am so lucky and excited to be their teacher this year! Thank you so much!

My Project

I use a positive behavior management system in my classroom and see amazing results. I do this by setting daily routines so that students know what to expect on a daily basis, I quietly and privately address any type of negative behaviors with students in a loving manner, I explicitly state the behavior I want to see and give praise to students who are doing what is asked and watch the rest of students follow suit as well.

I also give "Dojo Points" to students who are "caught being kind/following directions" and on Fridays students who have received 10 points throughout the week qualify for a prize.

Students look forward to getting their prizes and today I'm asking you to please help me buy my students for prizes since I am running low right now.

My students are amazing and deserve to have fun prizes to look forward to as a reward for their awesome behavior. Thank you so much!
