I have the honor of teaching 20 fun-loving, silly first graders. Many of my students come from low-income homes but come to school eager to learn. These sweet kids crave learning new things. I want to provide these students with the tools they need to learn and master the concepts of first grade.
I want my students to come into a warm, welcoming atmosphere where they have the ability to learn and grow.
Providing us with the supplies we need to make this a great year will help them become lifelong learners.
My Project
During the year, my students earn money to purchases items from our classroom store. They love to purchase Play-Doh and squishes! This project will help restock the favorite things that are often purchased by the students.
My students are rewarded for reading their books daily.
They love to get in the treasure box and see what is new! The will love the new trucks and bubbles.
Many of my students come from low income families and do not often get to go to the store and pick out things of their own. The classroom store is a way for me to provide them with this opportunity.
