My Students
My students are very special to me, year to year. The elementary school that I currently teach in, is a Title I school in North Miami Beach, Florida. I teach two classes: second grade math, science and social studies. The classes consist of students at various stages of cognitive development ranging from pre-primer to level 2. The majority of the students in my classes are English Language Learners and Mainstreamed learners. Most of them are trying to adapt to a new language and a new environment. They do it, but it's not an easy task. Ninety-nine percent of my students receive free or reduce-priced lunch.
Adults like to be rewarded and appreciated for good things.
Ivan Pavlov called it behavior conditioning. It's been scientifically proven to work with animals and humans. Not only for adults, but it also helps students to improve learning and display acceptable behavior in school. So, I've created a treasure chest reward box that is used to reward acceptable behavior at the end of each week and student of the month rewards to build morale and condition acceptable behavior within the classroom. I need your financial help to continue doing this.
My Project
I am requesting dolls and toys which will help make a world of difference to my students. These rewards will encourage appropriate behavior in the classroom. Every bit counts when it comes to educating children and know that I will never forget your kindness and huge generosity. All donations are greatly appreciated by me and my students. Thanks so much. Your kind gift will improve student learning and focus by leaps and your giving will help me to lower my spending each year due to purchasing rewards which I'm always,happy to do, but without the money, it's hard to purchase the rewards all the time.
