I have thirty-two smart little kiddos whom I have the pleasure of working with daily. They love school and are always eager to please. They work hard and try their best. They are always wanting to do something new and actually love getting new assignments. We are located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains and we love our school and community. We have had a rough few years with budget cuts and lay offs. I would love to see my students get snacks and special treats and rewards for good behavior and hard work.
My Project
My students love to participate in friendly competitions. They come to me begging to play games. They learn so much from the games and they get a little treat while learning. They also want to prove how smart they are. I love watching their faces as they get the correct answer. The students work very hard to get good grades so they can get a prize out of the prize box. Occasionally, it is just nice to have a snack too. I have asked for snacks, prizes and goodies for my class store. The super prize bucket, google goggles, smiley blinking balls, and walking dogs will be just a few of the items seen at the class store. Students will be given pretend money. If they can identify the money, save the needed amount and count it for me they can get the prize. I reward students for good behavior with pretend money to put in their bank. Some of the items I have asked for will be a part of my money game. Students love playing with fake money and purchasing from the pretend store.
