Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very sweet and have wonderful personalities. The conversations I am fortunate to have with them are not only heartwarming, but encouraging that this generation will continue to build kindness and compassion in our community. Our student population is a mix of working class families, one parent families; as well as low income families. The students are always appreciative of materials and little extras that I purchase for them.

My Project

Students will receive rewards for helping out others at our school, completing their work and spreading kindness at school. If the teacher or other staff witness a student picking up trash, helping with keeping the school campus or classroom nice and clean, the student is allowed to pick a prize from the treasure wall.

Each week that great, positive behavior and citizenship is demonstrated, each student is rewarded with an opportunity to select a prize from the class treasure chest.

Students look forward to the end of the day on Friday, when they are able to take their turn to make their selection for being a great student/classmate.
