Our school is located a few miles from the California-Mexico border with 100% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunches. We are a class of first and second-grade students who are anxious and happy to learn. With the curriculum becoming more rigorous, especially in reading and math, we want to be able to experience the learning firsthand and be focused. Our class is an active bunch of students who are highly engaged and ready to dive into learning.
These BricQ Motion Essential Lego Kits will make a difference in my students' learning as they will be able to really engage through play. My students are very familiar with Legos and being able to look at force, motion, and its interactions using this kit would really help them understand physical science. I came across the quote
"Children need the freedom and time to play.
Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity."
With the amount of time the students spent on Zoom last school year, this kit would be a great opportunity for the students to engage in something hands on, fun, and screen free! This kit also includes teacher lesson plans so I will be able to introduce new ideas and tasks for the students to challenge themselves and truly think outside the box.
