Revolutionizing History through Hands-On Learning!
My students need a Model Stirling Engine, Hydro-power Exploration Kit, and Hand Crank Generator. These items will allow my students to more fully understand the changes during the Industrial Revolution.

The students I work with come from a rural close-knit community in North Carolina. I serve students of various races, religions and economic status. Many of my students wake well before the sun to do farm chores. These students care and are invested in the learning process. I see many of them stay late going to practice for volleyball, soccer, and basketball. Our community rallies around our students as best we can.
With living in an area where students have rarely left the state let alone the county, I pride myself on bringing parts of the world to my students.
I love seeing them experience a new culture and seeing them grasp to understand how this new culture can impact and influence them in their community. It is my honor being their teacher.
The students in my class always seem to light up when we do hands on activities. These tools will literally allow my students light up the room. As they use these models, they will be able to concretely explore some of the key inventions of the Industrial Revolution.
Students will examine the use of hydroelectric energy through hands on exploration to better understand the changes of the Industrial Revolution.
I believe this project will serve students will in not only history class but also in science and STEM. I can only imagine how more clearly my students will understand the impacts of these inventions using these models to help guide their discovery.
